Ryan Junee is an experienced entrepreneur and investor. He has started four companies and advised or invested in hundreds of others. Most recently he co-founded RxDefine, a direct-to-consumer healthcare platform that is changing the way care is being delivered in the United States. Prior to that he co-founded Parsable, an enterprise software company based in San Francisco that developed a connected worker platform used by Fortune 500 companies in more than 100 countries. His first company, Omnisio, was a Y Combinator backed video editing platform that was acquired by Google. At Google he was responsible for the consumer-facing features of YouTube.
Over the years in parallel with his own ventures Ryan has spent hundreds of hours advising and investing in other startups. He has been a part-time partner at Y Combinator, a mentor at 500 Startups, a mentor at Stanford’s StartX, and was a founding partner at Startmate (Australia’s leading startup accelerator). He is a technologist at heart and is most passionate about helping the next generation of entrepreneurs create the future.
Ryan dropped out of the PhD program in Electrical Engineering at Stanford to pursue his passion for high technology startups. He holds a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford, as well as Bachelor’s degrees in Computer Engineering, Finance and Commercial Law from the University of Sydney. In his spare time Ryan is an instrument rated private pilot, a musician, and most importantly a husband.
